Greetings ~! I have just finished customizing a few pair of sneakers from nike.com and a few pair from timberland.com. It’s truly interesting and fascinating because you got the opportunity to design and create your own sneakers and boots base on your creativity and it follows your own style and fashion. Basically, the different between nike.com and timberland.com are Nike’s sneakers are more attractive towards youngsters, teenagers and kiddies, because Nike’s sneakers are more fascinating and got the style that follows the trend. On the other hand, Timberland’s boots are more attractive towards middle-age adults because it’s more to educated and mature type of shoe. Hahaha! Guess u are wondering why shoes also have mature type and childish type. :p Anyway, it makes a different on what type of shoe your wearing and it might affect your reputation too if your some famous dude. Okay! Stop the crap, I will show you the steps of customizing your boots and sneakers from nike.com and timberland.com.
Here I shall start with nike.com first, (Click on the thumbnail to see larger)
This is the first page of the customization and you may choose to start with an inspiration to customize or start blank.
For this, I have choosen a blank one. So at the first part, you will get to design the colour of the shoe you wan. So as u can see in the seond picture, i have random customize the colour of the shoe.
The following is personalization, but this is onli available if you purchase more than one of this item. So for me now, i choose skip.
At the finalization part, you have got to choose your gender and the size of shoe you want and also how many quantity your planning to buy.
After everything is done, you will get a review of your customization. Just double check and see whether any more thigns you need to change, If no then you may add your product into your shopping cart.
Thats the way of customize and purchase a sneakers from nike.com. The shipping and delivery service from nike is more reliable and faster. Once they receive your order, your design is sheduled and materials are prepare, they will be able to send the product to you within 4 weeks. It’s much faster comparing with timberland.com. Another different from timberland.com is Nike merchandise can me return and refund for any reasons within 30 days from ship date. Now it’s time to show you the steps of purchasing at timberland.com,
At the begining, you may choose what type of boots you want; Men’s, Women’s and Kid’s. After that you may select a starting point whereby to start from scratch, start with original or start with an inspiration.
Firstly you would have to monogram it. Choose your size, add some customize initial and initial’s colour. So it will look something like this in the second picture.
After that, you may choose your colour that you would love to apply on your boots. Then followed by detailing it by changing the collar’s colour and so on.
Lastly, you may finished it with changing the laces colour, hardware, and script leather options. So after everythin is done, double check back again. If your done then you may add it in your shopping cart.

Like what i have mention earlier on, the shipping and delivery service from timberland are much slower compare with nike. It takes approximately 6 to 7 weeks. Another thing was, there are no return and refund available in timberland. Once you place your order then thats it.
So in conclusion, I guess it just depends on which type of style and look you like to determine which website is better. Overall for the customization part, it’s not like very big differents between both of them. Its just the style and quality maybe, cause I am too poor to buy such shoe. I am just wearing a shoe from Bata that cost RM29.90. So I have got no chance to try it out and feel the different comfort from nike and timberland.
I can see that ! wow ! …hahahah! but nevermind la.. no matter how good and patient the lecturer is, there are stil limits and moodswings ! no one will be happy and facing zero problems always through out the whole 365 days in a year. So understood la !
